The Foundation of Web Development: How the Web Works

Every aspiring web developer must understand how the web actually works. At its core, the web is built on clients (browsers) and servers, connected through HTTP/HTTPS protocols.
Here’s the process simplified:
-A user types a URL in the browser.
-The browser sends a request to a server.
-The server processes the request and returns an HTML page (often with CSS, JavaScript, and data).
-The browser renders the page for the user.
Key concepts include:
-DNS: Converts domain names into IP addresses.
-HTTP/HTTPS: Defines communication between client and server.
-Rendering Engines: Chrome’s Blink, Firefox’s Gecko, etc.
-APIs & Data Exchange: JSON, XML, REST, GraphQL.
Without this foundation, it’s hard to truly understand what happens behind the scenes of a website.
